I am a historian of the body. I write about representations of the brain and mental experience in philosophical, medical, and theological texts. I am trained in the literature Greek and Roman antiquity, although I conduct my research in conversation with contemporary philosophy and history of science and medicine.
I am also a poet and a story-teller. My creative work also explores the limits and potential of the human body, but with an eye to the future more than to the past.
This is a portal for my published work, both scholarly and creative.
Thanks for stopping by!
